The Cranbrook Bucks first-ever recruit in forward Noah Leibl is on an absolute tear right now with the Victoria Grizzlies.
Leibl is currently riding a five-game point-streak, collecting four goals and four assists for eight points during that stretch. His quartet of goals have come in his past four contests consecutively, while the assists on his current run have all been of the primary variety.
The Grizzlies’ 20-year-old assistant captain tallied two goals and three assists in their pair of games this past weekend — including a career-high four-point night on Friday.
Leibl’s five points led the league last week, en route to earning him BC Hockey League first star of the week honours.
The San Diego, CA product is undoubtably playing the best hockey of his BCHL career right now. Leibl’s current hot-streak brings his season totals to six goals, nine assists, and 15 points through 28 games.
He has already surpassed his previous career high in goals, which he set when he tallied five with the Bucks in 2020-21, while he’s also topped his best point and assist totals set last season split between Cranbrook and Victoria.
Leibl’s career BCHL numbers now sit at 15 goals, 15 assists, and 30 points through 90 games in parts of four seasons in the league. He seems to be heating up at just the right time to help lead the Grizzlies down the stretch and into the playoffs.
