Cranbrook Bucks forward Jeremy Tremblay and goaltender Carter Capton have both been recognized in the BC Hockey League’s three stars of the week.

Tremblay was named the league’s third star of the week after recording four goals in two games played.

On Friday night in Trail, Tremblay scored the first two goals of a 3-0 win over the Smoke Eaters.

When Cranbrook welcomed the Smoke Eaters to Western Financial Place on Saturday, Tremblay scored twice more in a 5-2 win.

The Bucks newest player is up to four goals, two assists, and six points through his first six games with the team.

Capton was given an honourable mention for his weekend of work that included winning both games over Trail.

On Friday night Capton stopped all 24 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season and second of his young BCHL career.

One night later he made 23 saves on 25 Smoke Eater shots for his fifth straight win.

Capton now owns a 7-2 record on the season with a 2.30 goals-against average, a .918 save-percentage, and one shutout.

Tremblay, Capton, and the rest of the Bucks herd are back in action on Thursday, Jan. 5 in Merritt against the Centennials.
