Cranbrook Bucks forward Luke Pfoh has secured his post-junior hockey future, committing to play NCAA Division I hockey at Bowling Green State University.
Pfoh, a 17-year-old from Port Moody, BC, took to his Instagram account to announce the commitment.
“I am extremely honoured and proud to follow in my brother’s footsteps and announce my commitment to play Division I hockey at Bowling Green State University,” said Pfoh in an Instagram post.
He added, “I’d like to thank my teammates, coaches, friends, and of course my family for supporting my decision.”
Pfoh is following the path set by his 20-year-old brother Brett, who began his college hockey career at Bowling Green this season.
Brett endured a four-year junior career in both the BC Hockey League and the Alberta Junior Hockey League between 2018-2022.
Luke is in his second season with the Bucks, in which he’s scored four goals and added five assists for nine points through 26 games.
During his rookie season as a 16-year-old in 2021-22, Pfoh totalled 11 goals, 21 assists, and 32 points in 43 appearances. He also added a goal in six playoff contests with Cranbrook last spring.
Pfoh has become the sixth player in Bucks franchise history to earn an NCAA Div. I commitment while in the program, joining Tyson Dyck, Noah Quinn, Kellan Hjartarson, Rhys Bentham, and Cam Kungle.
He is also the 10th member of Cranbrook’s current roster with a Div. I commitment, with Donovan and Julian Frias, Nick Peluso, Jack Silich, and Jack Henry also being on that list.
