The Cranbrook Bucks announced on Thursday that they have acquired forward Blake Cotton from the Surrey Eagles in exchange for future considerations.
Cotton played in 16 games with Surrey this season, contributing one assist.
He also appeared in three games with Eagles last year while primarily playing with St. George’s School U18 Prep team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.
In 36 games with St. George’s School last season, Cotton managed 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points.
The 2004-born Vancouver product was teammates with Bucks’ defender Markus Yim not only last season — but four of the past five seasons.
In addition to playing U18 Prep together last year, Cotton and Yim were teammates at St. George’s School for three straight seasons from 2017-2020, playing U15 Varsity, U15 Prep, and Elite 15s.
