The Cranbrook Bucks (14-10-1-0) are in Trail tonight looking for their fifth straight win, and fourth straight against the Smoke Eaters (12-11-1-0).

The two teams kicked off the second half of the season last night in Cranbrook, with the Bucks earning a convincing 4-0 victory on home ice.

The win extended Cranbrook’s franchise-best win streak to four games, while Trail is on a four-game losing streak.

Tonight’s game is the fourth straight between the Kootenay rivals, as included in their current respective streaks is three consecutive Cranbrook victories over Trail.

The scene shifts back to Cominco Arena, where the host Smoke Eaters are 8-5-0 this season, while the Bucks are 7-6-0 on the road.

Cranbrook is 4-2-1 against Trail, and 1-1-0 in the West Kootenay, during the current campaign’s season series.
